This annual living history festival is a family friendly event celebrating our rich Canadian heritage. It also honours and commerates the sinking of the HMS Nancy and her valiant crew in the Nottawasaga River on August 14, 1814.
For two days, more than 100 re-enactors will transport you back to the War of 1812. Visit British, American, Native, and British Naval Encampments on Nancy Island and experience life in 1812. Enjoy musket and Cannon Demonstrations, Native Drumming and Storytelling, War of 1812 Surgeon, Cooking Demonstrations, 1812 Fashion Shows, 1812 Scavenger Hunt, Candy Cannon, Kids Mini Militia and much more! Musical entertainment will be provided by the Zoom Daddy's.
Be a part of the experience Saturday, August 19th from 10am - 6pm and Sunday, August 20th from 10am - 4pm at Nancy Island Historic Site at Wasaga Beach Park.
