I was born in Durham, Ontario and am truly the epitome of a small town girl. I always had my sights set on big city living and after earning my college degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting, I made the big move to New York City to work on the "Ricki Lake Show". It was the best time working on that show and among the Drag Queens and Baby Mama Dramas, I really fit in and felt at home. I may have been born "small town" but I loved my big city life. My passport was my trusty sidekick for most of my 20’s. I spent time in Hermosa Beach, California, Waco, TX (not with David Koresh!) and most recently in Sosua, Dominican Republic. I worked as the Morning Show Host at the English Speaking station Rubi 92.5. I’ve also been blessed with a little bit of a business sense (Thanks to my Dad) and I started a condo rental business in Sosua, which is still a successful, family owned business. I signed up for Facebook in early 2007 and a few weeks later, I got a message from an old friend, also from Durham, who also happened to be the recipient of my first case of puppy love! (An unwilling recipient I might add!) Very long story short, he came to the D.R. for a vacation and he swept me off my feet. Love won over sunshine and I moved back to Ontario to be with my new beau and we bought our first house, a 110 year old school house just outside of Collingwood. Life has come full circle for me, after traveling and settling down with a guy from the same small town as me. We are excited to raise our little girl Izzy in a small town and support her as she gets older and perhaps sets her sights on life in the Big City! |
