Funding for Housing to Help Human Trafficking Victims
Huronia Transition Homes is receiving $826,800 from the federal and provincial governments.
There will be a transitional home built in Midland for victims of human trafficking.
Huronia Transition Homes received a $826,800 grant from the federal and provincial governments through the Affordable Housing agreement.
This is on top of the $379,360 Huronia Transition Homes is receiving from Ontario's Anti-Human Trafficking Community Supports Fund for services and support.
The funding is to help ensure survivors have a safe place to live while they access services and support to help them heal from trauma and rebuild their lives.
