It looks like it may be a short meeting for Collingwood councillors, at least as far as the public portion is concerned.
On the agenda, a letter from the hospital. It says that the planning meetings with hospital, town and county staff are going well and will continue, but that the hospital does not think a meeting with council and board members is necessary at this time. This meeting was requested by council. Instead, the letter states that the hospital feels it would be better to provide any updates on the redevelopment to all municipalities at once at its sixth joint Mayors' Forum on July 25.
Council will consider a recommendation from the Corporate and Community Services Standing Committee to direct staff to use the Kraft Hockeyville money to make the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena downtown more accessible. The 25 thousand dollars for making it to the top 10 in the contest will be used to install automatic sliding doors from the lobby to the spectator room.
Council will also consider granting draft approval for the Balmoral Village Block 1 plan of condominium subject to conditions.
Councillors will then go behind closed doors to talk about the airport, the potential hydro sale and Huron Street update.
