Blue Mountain is promising to celebrate winter this weekend, with a festival on the hill and in the village.
The "Celebrate Winter' festival will feature a torchlight parade on one of the ski hills, followed by fireworks on Saturday night.
Through the day on Saturday, there will be demonstrations and activities in the village, including maple taffy and birds of prey demonstrations.
Blue Mountains spokesperson, Tara Lovell says the skiiers and snowboarders who will be holding the torches have all received training in how to slide with them safely.
She adds the torch runs used to be very popular at Blue in years past.
