New York now has a 2-1 lead, in their Eastern Conference semifinal. Tonight: New Jersey hosts Philly... and St. Louis is in L.A. At the Junior C hockey championship finals, the Alliston Hornets lost 5-4 in overtime, to the Grimby Peach Kings in Game 5, in Alliston. That means Grimsby wins the series, 4-1, and are this year's Schmalz Cup Champions. The Blue Jays handed the Texas Rangers their first back-to-back losses this season. Edwin Encarnacion, slammed his 5th home run in 6 games - this one a 3-run shot - in the Jays' 11-5 win over Texas. Kelly Johnson added a 2-run shot...and Ricky Romero pitched 8 innings to improve his record to 4-and-0. Toronto takes on the L.A. Angels in tonight's late game. Angels right-hander, Jered Weaver, struck out 9 and walked 1, in a 9-0 win over Minnesota. The Twins haven't had a hit in the last 15 innings. Atlanta outlasted the Phillies 15-13, in 11 innings.
