Grey County is conducting a Transportation Master Plan study.

Warden Duncan McKinlay says this massive project involves prioritizing all roads and bridges in the County to determine which ones need upgrades -- and when.

The plan will also look for new and alternative methods of transportation.

McKinlay admits the railroad corridors may play a role in addressing their future transportation needs.

The Warden also encourages residents to participate in future public meetings to ensure their opinions and concerns are addressed.

McKinlay says it will include traffic counts, the type of traffic each road experiences and consideration for future land use planning.

He adds it will also look at roads are important to industry and tourism.

The Transportation Master Plan is expected to take 16 to 24 months to complete.
