Building Boom in Goderich

Another 20 permits issued in March in Goderich, value of 3.75 million dollars.

Building Department activity in Goderich continues at its furious pace in 2012.

Official Barb Mackenzie advises that in March of this year -- there were 20 permits issued, for a dollar value of 3.75 million dollars.

So far this year, 47 permits have been approved totalling 9.8 million dollars.

There have been 11 single-family dwelling permits, three new commercial structures, one industrial and one government building permits stamped, compared to 0 in each category this time last year.

Mackenzie notes the big ticket items in March were repairs to the Sifto Mine, construction at 68 West Street and four new family homes.
