Clean Sweep in CollingwoodCollingwood | by Catherine ThompsonGetting a head start on Earth Day as clean sweep is being held in downtown core. Getting a head start on Earth Day. Earth Day is Sunday -- but on Thursday -- the Collingwood downtown BIA and Connect Downtown Revitalization Project are hosting the first annual downtown clean sweep event. Volunteers are being asked, along with business owners and their staff, to grab some brooms and spruce up the downtown streets and sidewalks. The work gets started at 5:30 PM and will go to 7:30 PM. You can also bring your unwanted electronics downtown today so they can be recycled. A trailer will be set up beside town hall between 3 PM and 6 PM.
