More Dead Birds On BeachAllenwood Beach | by Catherine ThompsonOPP remind people to keep kids and pets away from dead birds. The OPP are reminding people with cottages or homes near the beach, to keep kids and pets away from dead animals. Police were called to the Allenwood Beach area early Saturday morning after reports of dead birds washing ashore. Officers confirm around six thousand dead water fowl along the western shoreline of Nottawasaga Bay, spanning an area of about three kilometres. Police say the Ministry of Natural Resources have been notified. Wasaga Beach provincial park staff has previously reported botulism may be killing a number of fish and birds.
