Baby Can't WaitTiny Township | by Mariane McLeod
OPP help deliver a baby near Waubashene when midwife was late.
A baby boy couldn't wait for the arrival of a midwife at a home near Waubashene.
Police got a frantic 9-1-1 call Thursday night from a man who said his wife was in heavy labour and about to give birth.
Two officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment showed up at the house to help, and the two cops were just the kind the family was looking for: one is a former trauma nurse, the other a former paramedic.
The baby boy arrived safe and sound, his 31 year old mother is fine, and the midwife arrived a few minutes after the birth to help care for the family.
