Flood AdvisoryRegional | by Phil BirchardNottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority issues flood advisory for our area The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority has issued a flood advisory for our area. The NVCA says due to the spring-like weather expected to start on Sunday -- the flood potential is moderate, and the potential for ice jams is high. We could see up to 25 mm or rain over the course of the next two days as well. The NVCA also warns that we'll likely see flooding in area's that are historically inundated by the spring run-off. Everyone is advised to stay away from all water bodies, due to unstable ice and fast, cold water.
