Just some more reasons why Taylor Swift is awesome...

Country-pop superstar, Taylor Swift is making headlines all over the place these days ever since her new hit single, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” was debuted during a live YouTube video chat with fans on August 13. It shot straight to number 1 on iTunes after 50 minutes of being released, beating out Lady Gaga’s Born This Way. Needless to say, the song has been an instant hit and you’ll never ever get it out of your head because it’s just so darn catchy! She also managed to score the biggest digital sales week ever for a female artist, selling 623 000 downloads. Flo Rida’s “Right Round” is the only other song keeping her from the top spot. And if that’s not enough, it is the first song of her career that’s peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Oh ya, T-Swift has definitely got it goin’ on!
You can expect to see the debut performance of WANEGBT (the Twitter name for the song) on MTV’s Video Music Awards on September 6. Some have said that it’s the new “Call Me Maybe” because it’s already been covered/parodied by Katy Perry and a friend. No matter what kind musical genre you like, I’m positive everyone can find something about Taylor Swift’s music that they like, whether it’s the creative lyrics anyone can relate to or the catchy pop-country tunes, you’ve got to admit, she’s just awesome! And if you don’t like Taylor Swift…I mean, what’s not to like? She’s a great role model for young girls everywhere: beautiful inside and out, doesn’t take any crap from guys and isn’t afraid to write songs about it! And she’s an extremely talented songwriter at that. If you haven’t already, I would highly suggest you hop on the Taylor Swift bandwagon because she’s got something for everyone in her music with a whole lot of country-pop crossover going on!
As you can probably tell by reading this first blog post of mine, I’m a pretty hardcore fan. And I’ve been a T-Swift fan ever since I heard her third single, “Our Song” from her debut album, Taylor Swift at a camp back in 2007 and watched all the kitchen ladies sing along to it. I’m like, “What is this super duper catchy song, who is it and how can I get it so I can listen to it over and over again?!”
Mark October 22 on your calendar as the day Taylor Swift’s third album, Red, comes out.
